Circuit of 3 days in the Desert of Morocco
Day 1: Marrakech-Grand Atlas – Ait Benhadou- Ouarzazate-Anti Atlas- Agdz- Draa Valley
Pick up at the hotel where you are staying and start of the trip to the Great South.We will cross the High Atlas, which is the highest and most extensive mountain range in Morocco, crowned by the Tizi-N-Tichka summit at 2260 meters of altitude. This route is also known as the Ruta de los Pastos and has impressive mountain landscapes. We will stop at Ait-Ben-Haddou, and visit its Kasbah, one of the best preserved in all of North Africa and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator or the Kingdom of Heaven have been shot here.We arrive in Ouarzazate and take a panoramic tour of the city, located on top of a great plateau, also known as the Hollywood of the African continent. Ouarzazate was a former military garrison and today is the administrative capital of the Drâa Valley.We will continue our way along the so-called Los Oasis route. We will cross Ait Saoun and its 1660 meter mountain pass, Tizi-N-Tinififft. Its orography evokes impressive lunar landscapes.We continue through the Drâa Valley, 200 kilometers of palm grove that make this route one of the most beautiful in Morocco. Formerly this valley was traveled by countless commercial caravans from Black Africa. We arrived at Zagora, considered the gateway to the desert, as its poster says «Timbuktu 52 days».
Day 2: Zagora – Tamegroute Library – M’hamid – Erg Chegaga Desert:
Departure in the morning to Tamgroute and visit its Zaouïa, an old Koranic library. We visit the pottery artisans and the underground kasbah. We will continue our journey through southern Morocco towards the Tagouenite oasis via Ait Isfoul, we arrive at Mhamid and have lunch on the go. Then we will take a track towards the Chegaga dunes to admire the sunset over the dunes.Dinner and night under the tent (haima).
Day 3: Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriki – Foum Zguit – Taznakhte – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Already in the morning and after glimpsing the sunrise and having breakfast among the dunes, we continue our journey to Marrakech. On the way we pass by Iriki, a lake that carries water at various times of the year, is bordered by dunes and is an absolutely fantastic lunar landscape.
We arrived at Foum Zguid, a former military post. We continue to Tazenakht, an important carpet weaving center. This track was a former stage of the famous Paris-Dakar rally.
We continue our way to Ouarzazate, to end the trip in Marrakech.

Day 3: Erg Chegaga Desert Sahara:
We will have breakfast and enjoy a day in the desert, we will admire the landscape and if we want to have a picnic in the dunes or eat with the nomads, there are different activities to do. In the afternoon, a ride on a dromedary to enjoy the sunset and then a Berber dinner and party in the heat of the bonfire with live music. Accommodation in our camp in the dunes.
Day 4: Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriki – Foum Zguit – Taznakhte – Ouarzazate – Marrakech:
